Marble is a metamorphic rock formed by alteration of limestone or dolomite, often irregularly colored by impurities.

A few weeks ago we had AA Granite, Marble & Quartz install quartz countertops in our own home and in a rental property we own. Jet and his team were great to deal with and did a fantastic job. Pricing was very competitive and the quality …

In September 2020 we hired AA Granite to replace our countertops and backsplash with HanStone quartz. Jet listened carefully to our requirements and made sure we got what we were expecting, offering suggestions and options. His price was very competitive. Jet and his crew did a great job on the installation and the new countertops, vanities, and sinks look wonderful! Removal of the old granite proved to be a nightmare (due to the way they were originally installed) but Jet’s crew quietly persisted and got the old stuff out without damaging our cabinets – we had real fears about what would be left of them. As with many contractors, there were some scheduling issues that we had to work around but Jet did his best to work with us when bumps occurred. We would definitely recommend AA Granite to anyone looking for very good value and excellent workmanship.

AA Granite, Marble & Quartz Ltd did an excellent job on my sister's kitchen. It looks stunning. The owner of this company is one of the nicest people to talk to and he'll spend lots of time reviewing the different types of stone with you. The workmanship on my sister's kitchen is excellent. We are definitely going to hire them when we get our kitchen redone in the near future.

Thank you Jet for the beautiful quartz countertop for my parent's vanity. I e-mailed several companies a picture of another counter we had done last year (to match). Jet was the quickest to reply with the most competitive quote and a photo of the stone sample, as requested. He was prompt to come measure the vanity (wearing PPE) and bring a sample and it was ready 2-3 business days later. We picked it up and installed it the next day with no issues!

Phone call answered promptly, very kind service. Was able to beat the Ikea countertop pricing I had a quote for already by a good margin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long will my Calgary granite countertop actually last?

A: With proper sealing, your Calgary granite countertop will easily last 100+ years. We’ve installed granite in homes built in the decades ago that still look stunning today.

Q: Can I place hot pans directly on my granite countertop?

A: Yes! Granite withstands extreme heat without damage, making it perfect for Calgary’s home chefs. Just avoid prolonged exposure that might weaken the sealer over time.

Q: I'm in dilemma.. What makes Calgary granite countertops unique from other stone options?

A: Each Calgary granite slab features one-of-a-kind patterns formed over millions of years. These natural variations ensure your countertop will have character and beauty that manufactured materials simply cannot replicate.

Q: How often will I need to seal my Calgary granite countertop?

A: Most Calgary granite countertops need resealing only once every 1-3 years. AA GRANITE MARBLE AND QUARTZ LTD uses premium sealants that protect against stains while maintaining the stone’s natural beauty.

Q: Can quartz really look like marble or granite?

A: Today’s premium quartz mimics natural stone so convincingly that visitors won’t know the difference. We offer Calgary’s largest selection of quartz that beautifully replicates marble’s veining and granite’s depth.

Q: How does quartz handle Calgary's extreme temperature swings?

A: Quartz shrugs off Calgary’s dramatic temperature changes without expanding or contracting. Its engineered stability prevents the cracking that sometimes affects natural stones in our climate.

Q: Will my marble countertop really change over time?

A: Yes, marble develops a beautiful patina that tells your home’s unique story. This natural aging process enhances its character while giving your Calgary kitchen a timeless, lived-in elegance.

Q: Can I remove etching from my marble countertop?

A: Minor etching can be polished away by our Calgary marble specialists. We teach all clients simple maintenance techniques that keep your marble looking spectacular for decades.

Q: What makes marble worth the extra maintenance in a Calgary kitchen?

A: Nothing matches marble’s luminous glow and soft, cool touch. Calgary bakers particularly love how marble naturally stays cool, making it perfect for pastry preparation and creating a luxurious centerpiece in your home.

Q: How do bathroom vanity countertops differ from kitchen installations?

A: Bathroom vanities typically feature integrated sinks and smaller footprints than kitchen counters. AA Granite Marble & Quartz Ltd specializes in custom bathroom solutions including undermount sinks, vessel sink platforms, and waterfall-edge vanities that maximize Calgary’s smaller bathroom spaces.
