What quartz is
Discover the Best in Modern Design with Our Quartz Countertops in Calgary!
Quartz is a man-made slab designed to perfect the look of marble and granite with the strength and consistency you need in a working kitchen. Natural quartz crystals are ground, bound with resin and pigment, and pressed into slabs that don’t need sealing. The surface is non-porous, so stains have nowhere to go.
Designs run from the quiet whites and greys Calgary kitchens love to marble-look Calacattas with veining you have to touch to believe, concrete textures, and bold solids. Every one of them resists scratches and stains better than the natural stone it imitates.
We fabricate quartz for kitchens, islands, waterfall ends, bathroom vanities, tub decks and commercial counters, all from our shop at 1530 27 Ave NE.

Why Calgary picks quartz
Why Calgary families love quartz
Never sealed
Non-porous, so nothing soaks in. Red wine, turmeric, coffee: wipe and it’s gone. No annual sealing, ever!
Same slab, same look
Engineered stone is consistent slab to slab, so the sample you fall for is the countertop you get!
Marble without the worry
The Calacatta and Carrara looks of marble with none of the etching. It’s what most Calgary vanities get!
One honest caveat
Keep hot pans off it and keep it indoors. For everything else it’s the easiest surface we sell!

What quartz costs in Calgary
$70–$130 per sq ft installed
A typical Calgary kitchen lands around $2,500–$7,800 installed. The brand and the colour group set the price: a plain white from any rack is the bottom, a marble-look Calacatta from Caesarstone or Silestone the top. Removal of the old top, a new sink and a full-height backsplash are the usual extras.

Quartz questions, answered
Frequently Asked Questions
The questions Calgary searchers ask about quartz most: brand, price, heat and the vinegar one.
How much do quartz countertops cost in Calgary?
Quartz countertops in Calgary run $70–$130 per sq ft installed with us, so a typical 35–60 sq ft kitchen is $2,500–$7,800. The brand and the colour group set the price: a plain white or grey from any rack is the low end, a marble-look Calacatta from Caesarstone or Silestone is the top.

Which quartz brand is best in Canada?
There’s no single winner, which is why we keep ten sample racks on the showroom floor. Caesarstone and Silestone lead on marble-look whites and the depth of their veining; Irah (Hari Stones), NTP, Vicostone and TCE give you the same looks at better value; Samsung Radianz and LG Hausys sit in between.
Bring a cabinet door and we’ll put the same colour from three brands beside it.
Can I put a hot cup of coffee on quartz?
A hot mug, yes, every day. A pan straight off the burner, no. Quartz is about 90% ground stone bound in resin, and the resin can scorch or discolour above roughly 150 °C. Keep a trivet by the stove and the surface will look new for decades.
What does vinegar do to quartz?
Nothing you’ll see right away. Quartz is non-porous and doesn’t etch the way marble does. Over years, though, acids and bleach dull the resin, so clean with warm water and a little dish soap or a pH-neutral stone cleaner, and skip the oven cleaner and Clorox wipes.
What is the downside of quartz countertops?
Three things: it doesn’t like direct high heat; it’s not rated for outdoor use, because UV yellows the resin; and on a big kitchen with a strongly veined pattern, the seam between slabs is harder to hide than on a plain colour. For everything else (stains, scratches, sealing) it’s the easiest surface we sell.
Does quartz need sealing?
No. It’s non-porous, so there’s nothing to seal and nothing to reseal. That’s the main reason busy families choose it over granite or marble.
Is quartz cheaper than granite?
Usually a little more than entry-level granite and a little less than exotic granite. In the middle of the range they overlap, so compare quotes for the colours you actually like rather than the materials in general.
