About the brand

Why Caesarstone sits at the top of the quartz racks

Caesarstone has been making engineered quartz since 1987, one of the first, and still the brand whose colour development the rest of the market follows. The Calacatta Nuvo and Statuario veining that every value brand now imitates started here, and the slab-to-slab consistency is what designers specify it for.

It’s a quartz, so it behaves like one: about 90% ground quartz bound in resin, non-porous, never sealed, stain- and scratch-resistant, with the usual caveat about hot pans and direct sun. It sits at the premium end of the price range alongside Silestone; what you pay for is the pattern and the predictability.

We’re not Caesarstone’s showroom. That’s for the trade. We’re the Calgary fabricator that orders your slab, cuts it to your kitchen or vanity in our own shop, and installs it.

A few weeks ago we had AA Granite, Marble & Quartz install quartz countertops in our own home and in a rental property we own. Jet and his team were great to deal with and did a fantastic job. Pricing was very competitive and the quality …

In September 2020 we hired AA Granite to replace our countertops and backsplash with HanStone quartz. Jet listened carefully to our requirements and made sure we got what we were expecting, offering suggestions and options. His price was very competitive. Jet and his crew did a great job on the installation and the new countertops, vanities, and sinks look wonderful! Removal of the old granite proved to be a nightmare (due to the way they were originally installed) but Jet’s crew quietly persisted and got the old stuff out without damaging our cabinets – we had real fears about what would be left of them. As with many contractors, there were some scheduling issues that we had to work around but Jet did his best to work with us when bumps occurred. We would definitely recommend AA Granite to anyone looking for very good value and excellent workmanship.

We had AA Granite supply and install our quartz countertops. They were so fast on delivering our quote, coming in to do the site measure and the install. They did a phenomenal job and their price was lower than my other quotes. We would definitely recommend them. Thank you for our gorgeous countertops!

Thank you Jet for the beautiful quartz countertop for my parent's vanity. I e-mailed several companies a picture of another counter we had done last year (to match). Jet was the quickest to reply with the most competitive quote and a photo of the stone sample, as requested. He was prompt to come measure the vanity (wearing PPE) and bring a sample and it was ready 2-3 business days later. We picked it up and installed it the next day with no issues!

Caesarstone questions, answered

Frequently Asked Questions

Where it’s made, what it costs here, and the honest downsides.

Is Caesarstone a Canadian company?

No. Caesarstone is an Israeli company founded in 1987, with plants in Israel, the United States and India. It sells into Canada through distributors and showrooms, including one in Calgary. We’re a Calgary fabricator: we cut and install it, in our own shop, with our own crew.

Is Caesarstone a high-end quartz?

It sits at the premium end of quartz, priced above most value brands and alongside Silestone. What you pay for is the colour development (the Calacatta Nuvo and Statuario Maximus veining is what the rest of the market copies) and slab-to-slab consistency.

What does Caesarstone cost per square foot in Canada?

Installed with us in Calgary, Caesarstone runs from the middle to the top of the quartz range ($70–$130 per sq ft): the plain and concrete-look colours at the lower end, the marble-look Calacattas at the top. See countertop prices in Calgary.

What are the disadvantages of Caesarstone countertops?

The same as any quartz: keep hot pans off it, keep it indoors, and expect to pay more than entry-level granite. One of its own: the popular Calacatta patterns are bold enough that a seam on a big kitchen needs careful layout. We plan it on the template and show you where it will fall.

Name the colour (or describe the look) and send the length of each run with a photo of the cabinets. We’ll price it beside a comparable Silestone and Irah colour so you can choose.
